The session will describe different models of personality assessment and where each of these models will work best (or not at all!). It will give practical guidance on choosing the right tool for a particular purpose. We’ll then go on to look at some of the ways personality assessment is changing: from gamification and data mining to create more accurate reports, to artificial intelligence and the use of social media activity as basic data for personality analysis. This hopefully will lead to a discussion of which are the likeliest means to develop, which might be more helpful and ways of choosing substance over style in future assessments.

Rethink leadership talent: Advance DEI by spotting your hidden leadership talent (With Megumi Miki)
The event
Have you ever been told, or hear of others being told, that they weren’t confident enough, need more executive presence or gravitas, or that they need to speak up more to be considered for promotions? If this is the feedback unsuccessful candidates are receiving, what is really being assessed when spotting leadership talent? We keep hearing about the slow progress on DEI. We also keep hearing about examples of poor leadership or inadequate leadership for our era of change and complexity. There’s clearly a gap between the intention to promote people based on merit and our ability to spot and develop the best leadership talent. What if our mental model of leadership, leadership selection and development is what is getting in the way, keeping some of your best and diverse leadership talent hidden?
Join Megumi Miki, founder of Quietly Powerful, speaker, author and consultant in leadership, culture and DEI, to explore how you can accelerate progress on diversity and inclusion by spotting and developing your hidden leadership talent.

Organisational Proctology –
Asshats in the Workplace
Speaker
Pete Hammett
Duration: 1 Hour
Organisational Proctology – Asshats in the Workplace (With Pete Hammett)
The event
There’s an epidemic emerging that the Center for Disease Control hasn’t yet catalogued. The physical symptomatology is very concerning; chronic headaches, muscle tension, fatigue, issues regulating both sleep and eating. And the psychological impacts are equally alarming, reduced aspiration, diminished sense of confidence, emotional detachment. To help the CDD identify this condition, I’ve named the epidemic Asshat-Related-Stress (ARSe pronounced just like it is spelled).
In Organisational Proctology, Pete draws on over 20 years of experience helping those suffering from ARSe; as well as coaching those who create it in the workplace. Marrying behavioural science with real-world business experience, this event will do more than explain why people act like asshats and more than just make fun of them in the workplace. This event will start to provide a pragmatic framework for dealing with asshats at work.
